About CORE Pilates
Nestled within Rockfields Village, Centurion, our studio offers a peaceful escape from the everyday. You’ll find us in Block I, Unit 1 (upstairs) — easily accessible, yet blissfully quiet. The studio was designed with serenity in mind — soft tones, calming energy, and an uncluttered environment that invites focus, mindfulness, and movement. Whether you’re here for strength, mobility, or simply some time to reconnect with your body, this is your space to reset and recharge.
Our instructors bring a unique blend of professionalism, warmth, and personalized attention to each session. You’ll feel welcomed, supported, and at ease — like you’re part of a community that genuinely cares about your well-being.
At CORE Pilates, it’s more than just a workout. It’s a journey back to yourself — through movement, breath, and mindful strength.

Meet Our Instructors

Elmé Fabricius
Job Title:
Director, Pilates Instructor, Mom
About Me:
I’m Elmé — the founder, director, and lead instructor here at CORE Pilates Studio.
I hold a BA degree in Human Movement Science from the University of Pretoria (TUKS), which I earned in 2012. Soon after graduating, I completed the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training course, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion. I spent the early years of my career teaching at several studios around Pretoria before launching my own business in 2017 — a venture I continue to grow and nurture with pride.
On a more personal note, I’ve been married since 2017 and am a mom to two energetic little ones — a boy and a girl — who keep me moving just as much as my clients do!
Funny enough, I didn’t grow up as a top athlete. I dabbled in school sports like netball and hockey, but it wasn’t until university that I truly discovered the importance of staying active. At 22, while starting my Pilates mat course, I was shocked to feel the effects of years of minimal movement. That was a turning point. I experienced firsthand the profound impact Pilates could have — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
That realization sparked something in me: a deep desire to share this method with as many people as possible. I genuinely believe that every body can benefit from Pilates, and that moving with intention can create life-changing results. We only get one body — and it deserves to be taken care of, strengthened, and celebrated.
Through CORE Pilates, I hope to empower others to reconnect with their bodies, improve their well-being, and find joy in movement — one breath, one rep, one mindful moment at a time

Tash Longhurst
Job Title:
Pilates Instructor, Mom
About Me:
Hi there!
Tash here, welcome to my story.
I’m a music obsessed busy mom of two boys, with a green thumb, and a lover for arts and crafts.
My mission is to help people not just move, but move well. I believe Pilates is the most intelligent pathway to reclaiming strength, mobility, and confidence, regardless of your age or fitness level.
I discovered Pilates after years spent as a gym fanatic, and a few injuries here and there. I was amazed by Pilates and it’s power to heal and transform. Now, I’m dedicated to sharing that same profound body awareness, helping clients feel strong, balanced, and completely connected to their bodies.
I’m here to demystify Pilates and make its incredible benefits accessible to everyone. My goal is simple: to help you feel better in your everyday life—whether you’re lifting a child or training for a marathon.
I am fully committed to continuous education of anatomy, human biomechanics and how to implement that into my Pilates classes.
I have been teaching for 3 years, both in studios and as the owner of my own mobile Pilates studio.
I have experience working with a diverse clientele, from athletes to individuals recovering from hip, knee, and shoulder replacement surgery, chronic low back pain, scoliosis, autoimmune diseases, and new mom’s looking to rehabilitate their tummy and pelvic floor.
My teaching style is often described as precise and encouraging. I prioritize proper alignment and breathwork, ensuring every client gets the most effective and safest workout for their unique body.
I believe in tailoring every session. I’m not here to put you through a generic routine; I’m here to listen to your body’s needs and help you develop an intelligent, intuitive, and sustainable movement practice.
Expect my classes to be dynamic and creatively sequenced. While we focus on the foundational principles, I will also challenge your stability and strength in a fun and encouraging environment.

Audrey Fourie
Job Title:
Pilates Instructor, Wife
About Me:
As a young dancer, I was introduced to pilates as a way to balance flexibility with mindful control of movement.
However, my passion for pilates grew later, when my mom and I joined Core Pilates as clients – our favourite pre-coffee ritual. I quickly discovered the power of mindful movement to improve strength. The best part? I could see and feel the results without jumping or sweating like a melting candle. Before long, my corporate blazers started gathering dust while I explored pilates further.
As my client, you can expect a calm, supportive space to improve body awareness and control, with each session tailored to your needs. We combine a holistic approach with the principles of pilates, emphasising precise technique to improve functional movement.
My goal is to help you move with confidence, efficiency, and grace – in class and in life – without the drama of doing burpees to a bootcamp soundtrack. True strength comes from balancing stability and movement through awareness, not from effort alone.
If you’re ready to become strong, centered, and confident, let’s do this.
No chaos, no burpees (!), and no need to look like you’ve just wrestled your yoga mat.
